Hello! It’s been a while.
Towards the end of last year I was so busy in the Neckerchief Factory with Toby I had no time to blog.
What I had a lot of time for was listening to podcast. As Toby likes to sew in silence, the podcasts filled the Factory with chatter.
I listened to A LOT of them.
I listened to many podcasts that made me stop and think. In particular, the topic of parents leaving online footprints for their kids without their permission.
Every time I listened to one of these it made my heart feel heavy and it made me question what I was doing on this blog.
You may or may not have noticed that I have written almost nothing about Felix since his arrival but have written endlessly about Thomas in the first 18 months of his life.
I have always had mixed feelings writing about Thomas on here, talking about the little person he is, his likes and dislikes and everything else mothers like to gush about.
When Felix entered the world I felt insanely protective over him and his brother, I no longer had the desire to share them with the world so I took a step away from the keyboard.
I want to keep blogging because I enjoy it but I think I’ll go back to the roots of this blog. When tobywigglebottom.com was about Toby, Andrew and I more so than our children.
The kids will still be featured here and there but I will no longer talk about them in the way I did before.
Anyway, so much has happened since November – currently I’m sitting in a cafe in London writing this post, Andrew is working in the Emergency Department at a hospital over here and Toby is being loved and cared for back home in Australia.
I miss that fur kid so much! Can’t wait to have him back.
Will update you on all that’s been going on in the last few months soon.
p.s the above photo was taken by Thomas – he did well!
